James is a user experience designer with over a decade of expertise in crafting innovative digital solutions, particularly in the automotive industry. He currently serves as a Lecturer III at the University of Michigan School of Information, where he teaches courses on UX principles, interaction design, automotive user experience, and psychology-driven design. As a member of the Faculty Senate, he also contributes to undergraduate curriculum development. Previously, James worked as a Lead Product Designer at General Motors, where he played a pivotal role in developing frameworks, information architecture, and 3D vehicle apps, earning recognition for advancing in-vehicle user experiences. Passionate about solving complex problems in digital spaces, James is dedicated to designing products that users love and championing the importance of UX design. When not working on user interfaces, he actively researches how others tackle similar challenges, staying at the forefront of innovation in the field.
